Zenova Wellness makes clean, handmade candles, reed diffusers and journals, and hosts wellness events in Lagos. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use zenovawellnesss.com, buy from us or join our events, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Who we are

Zenova Wellness, Lagos, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect and why

When you place an order

Your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, what you ordered and any note you add. We use this to process your order, deliver it, send you order updates and help if something goes wrong. We need this information to fulfil our agreement with you.

When you pay

Payments are handled by Paystack. Your card or bank details go directly to Paystack and are never seen or stored by us. To help us match payments to orders, we share your order number, name, email, phone number and the items you bought with Paystack. Paystack’s own privacy policy applies to the information they handle.

Gift cards

If you buy a gift card, we collect the recipient’s email address, your name and your personal message so we can send them the gift card. We use the recipient’s email only to deliver the gift card.

Restock reminders

If you choose a restock reminder at checkout, we send you one email after the time you picked (2 weeks, 3 weeks, 1 month or 2 months), listing what you bought with a link to reorder. This is optional and based on your consent. Every reminder has a link to stop it.

Events and event alerts

If you sign up on our Events page, we collect your name, email address and WhatsApp number so we can tell you about upcoming events. You can ask us to stop at any time.

WhatsApp and email conversations

When you message us about custom gift boxes, corporate gifts, souvenirs, express delivery or anything else, we keep the conversation so we can help you and follow up on your request.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies:

• Essential cookies keep your cart, checkout and login working. These are always on.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited and how people found us. These only run if you click Accept or turn them on under Let me choose in our cookie notice.

Your cookie choice is remembered for 12 months. You can change it any time: change cookie settings.

We also store a few small, non-personal preferences in your browser, for example so our loading screen does not show on every page.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the people and services that help us run Zenova:

• Paystack, for payments.
• Delivery riders and logistics partners, who receive your name, phone number and address to deliver your order.
• Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Our website and email hosting provider, which stores the website and sends our emails.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these services, such as Google, may process information outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on providers that have appropriate safeguards in place, as the NDPA requires.

How long we keep it

• Order and payment records: as long as Nigerian tax and accounting rules require.
• Event alert sign-ups: until you ask us to stop.
• Restock reminders: one reminder per order, then no more unless you ask again.
• Analytics data: kept by Google for up to 14 months.

Your rights

Under the NDPA, you can:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
• object to or ask us to limit how we use it;
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example for restock reminders, event alerts or analytics cookies;
• ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere.

To do any of these, email hello@zenovawellnesss.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

Keeping it safe

Our website uses a secure (https) connection, payments are processed by Paystack, and access to customer information is limited to the Zenova team. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care to protect your information, and we will tell you and the NDPC if a breach puts you at risk.

Children

Our shop and events are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
